The Limousin countryside offers walking and bicycle routes. Horseriding, ultra-light flying, kayakking, canoeing, sailing, swimming and golf (9 and 18 holes). Weekly markets and fleamarkets can be found in the region.
Within the area there are some cultural and historical cities, such as Montmorillion, with antique book shops, typewriter museum, and calligraphy. St Savin is famous because of the abbey with magnificent fresco's . In Villefavard is a concert-centre, in Bellac a theater. In Oradour sur Glane is the World War2 Memorial village, an impressive monument. You'll find the interesting cities of Limoges and Poitiers, also for good shopping. Around Poitiers you'll find the Futuroscope, interesting for children because of interactive themepark.
